Gabrielle Tito is the author and illustrator of Anna of Roma. Gabrielle spent her childhood between New York and Rome, immersed in a culture of classical art, fashion and nostalgia for La Dolce Vita. Gabrielle studied art history and studio art at Dartmouth College and earned an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. She studied with artist Gaspare de Fiore in Rome and later apprenticed with artist James Childs in New York, who continues the atelier tradition of Gerome. She received an honorable mention from the Portrait Society of America in the "out of the box" category for her narrative oil painting. After many years contemplating the old masters, Gabrielle needed a little bit of Anna in her life. She hopes that Anna brings much joy to yours!
